Built on ChronX Blockchain

A Custodian for Unclaimed Promises

When a ChronX promise matures and cannot reach its intended beneficiary, Verifas holds the funds — securely, indefinitely — until lawful ownership is proven.

Verifas is an independent application built on the ChronX protocol. Not operated by or affiliated with ChronX.

Protocol

How Verifas Works

Three steps. No speculation. Funds move only when ownership is proven.

01
Promise Matures. Beneficiary Unreachable.

A ChronX time-lock reaches its unlock date. The intended beneficiary has not claimed it. After 90 days, the ChronX protocol transfers the unclaimed funds to Verifas for safekeeping.

02
A Bonded Verifier Presents Proof

A vetted, bonded Verifier submits documented real-world proof that a specific person is the lawful owner or heir. Verifas does not go looking. It waits for proof to arrive.

03
Cooling-Off Period. Then Release.

After proof is submitted, a governance-defined cooling-off period begins. Any competing claim may be lodged during this window. When the period closes with no valid competing claim, funds release to the proven owner.

Scope

What Verifas Is — and Is Not

Verifas has a narrow, specific purpose. Understanding its limits is as important as understanding its function.

Verifas IS
  • A secure custodian for unclaimed ChronX promises
  • A registry of vetted, bonded Verifiers
  • Governed by the cooling-off and fee rules of the ChronX Protocol Foundation
  • Subject to applicable law and valid court orders in all jurisdictions
  • A holder of KX only — all funds are denominated in KX cryptocurrency
Verifas IS NOT
  • A search service — Verifas does not locate beneficiaries or heirs
  • A general escrow or conditional payment platform
  • For freelancers, e-commerce, or service agreements
  • Able to release funds without documented proof of lawful ownership
  • A decision-maker — it acts only on evidence presented to it
Claims

How a Claim Is Made

Verifas does not accept self-service claims. Every claim requires a bonded Verifier.

1
Verifier Posts Bond

A prospective Verifier applies to the ChronX Protocol Foundation, passes vetting, and locks a minimum bond on the ChronX blockchain. Verifas accepts only Verifiers who have been approved through ChronX governance. The bond is at risk if the Verifier acts fraudulently.

2
Verifier Submits Proof of Ownership

The Verifier presents documented real-world evidence — legal identification, probate documents, or equivalent — establishing that their client is the lawful owner or heir of the unclaimed promise.

3
Cooling-Off Period Opens

Verifas records the pending claim against the on-chain lock reference and publishes notice that a claim has been lodged — no names, amounts, or identifying details are disclosed publicly. Any party with a competing lawful claim may contact Verifas during the governance-defined cooling-off window. Relevant details are shared only with parties who can establish a lawful interest.

4
Funds Released to Proven Owner

If no competing claim is upheld when the window closes, funds are released to the proven owner. The Verifier receives a delivery fee governed by the ChronX Protocol Foundation. Verifas charges no additional fee.
